Robert Beaudin

  • Robert has vast experience designing and implementing high profile landscape projects in Canada and the United Kingdom. Most recently, he worked as Managing Director at Tom Stuart-Smith Ltd. where he managed the design and construction of private and public landscapes, including the new Garden Bridgewater for The Royal Horticultural Society.

Prior to relocating to the UK, Robert worked with Janet Rosenberg & Studio for nearly 10 years, as a senior landscape architect, managing high end residential and public garden projects. These included complex sites requiring thoughtful details and planting solutions. Most notable among these was the Rock Garden renovation at Hamilton’s Royal Botanical Garden.

He has a particular passion about plants in general, and specifically in the role of plants, ornamental and native, and planting design in gardens. In addition, he believes in building only what is necessary and letting the site speak for itself. He is also eager to explore the challenges posed to landscapes and plantings by climate change and concerns of sustainability.

Robert is currently living and working in Prince Edward County, Ontario where he is developing his own new garden on a six-acre property.
