  • Robert has over 30 years of experience designing and implementing high profile landscape projects in Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Saudi Arabia and Colombia. Most recently, he worked as Managing Director at Tom Stuart-Smith Ltd. In the UK where he managed the design and construction of private and public landscape projects, including the new Garden Bridgewater for The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).

Prior to relocating to the UK, Robert worked with Janet Rosenberg & Studio in Toronto, Canada as a senior landscape architect, managing high end residential and public garden projects. These included complex sites requiring thoughtful details and planting solutions. Most notable among these was the Rock Garden renovation at Hamilton’s Royal Botanical Garden.

Among various projects, he is currently working with Modular London and the UK charity Pathway, to design a garden for the 2025 RHS Chelsea Garden Show.

He has a particular passion about plants in general, and specifically in the role of ornamental and native plants as well as planting design in gardens. He believes in building only what is necessary and letting the site speak for itself, he is also eager to explore the challenges posed to landscapes and plantings by climate change and to incorporate concerns of sustainability in his projects.

Robert is currently splitting his time between Canada and Colombia while also taking on suitable projects in the UK and anywhere else in the world.

Full membership in the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA).
